Lakeville South Boys Soccer were able to come from behind and get a big conference win this evening.

The Cougars went down early in the first half. Defenders were in a great position to clear the ball, but it took a bad bounce and Eagan was able to score. The defensive line and goalkeeper, Wyatt Hall, were top-notch the rest of the game.

The Cougars continued to put pressure in the attack, with lots of shots missing just wide in the first half. Right before halftime, Sam Just was able to score from an assist by Loic Mesanvi.

In the second half, the Cougars missed a PK, but were still able to find the winning goal. Sam Just was able to get on the end of a long ball over top, which the Eagan GK mishandled out of his net. A few turns and bounces later, he was able to get a shot off in an open net for the game winner.

The coaching staff was excited about the grit shown by the team. Coming from behind and missing a PK can definitely mess with your mentality. We are so happy the boys battled through it as a team and were able to find a way to get the winning result.
